The 1853 collection at Southern New Hampshire University&#8217;s Harry A.B. and Gertrude C. Shapiro Library consists of bound volumes, periodicals, pamphlets, photographs, and other material items from the period that provide a broad context for the novel. All items in the collection were purchased by the Shapiro Library and Undergraduate Research.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The annotated texts section houses facsimiles of texts and other material objects from the collection.
